Arendal Sound Celebrates 10 Years With a Stunning Collector’s Edition of Its Flagship Loudspeakers

Only 25 pairs of these Norwegian masterpieces will ever exist — and they’re finished in breathtaking rosewood.

A Scandinavian Legacy Reborn

Arendal Sound, the acclaimed Norwegian hi-fi manufacturer known for its precision-engineered loudspeakers and home theater systems, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in grand fashion.

To mark the milestone, the brand has unveiled a limited-edition version of its flagship floorstanders — the 1528 Tower 8 (10th Anniversary Edition) — reimagining its signature model with new materials, bespoke detailing, and unmistakable collector appeal.

A Rosewood Masterpiece

While the technical blueprint remains faithful to the original, the new 10th Anniversary Edition elevates the Tower 8’s design into art-gallery territory.

Each loudspeaker features a rich rosewood veneer, a nod to Scandinavian furniture craftsmanship, sealed under 12 layers of piano lacquer for a deep, mirror-like finish.

The satin-black front baffle, waveguide assembly, and premium Puck Pro isolation feet complete the look, replacing the standard edition’s simpler hardware with touches that feel bespoke and timeless.

“We wanted this edition to capture both our engineering ethos and Norway’s design heritage,” says the brand.

Under the Hood: Pure Arendal Engineering

Despite its luxurious exterior, the 10th Anniversary Edition is all about acoustic purity. Inside, it’s identical to the standard 1528 Tower 8 — and that’s no drawback.

Each loudspeaker is a three-way design with six total drivers, including:

  • A 28mm lithium-magnesium tweeter

  • A 5-inch carbon-graphene midrange

  • Four 8-inch aluminum bass drivers

The curved baffle is precisely engineered to align multiple drivers toward the listener’s position, reducing crossover distortion and maintaining what Arendal calls “remarkable coherence and dynamic accuracy.”

Crafted for Collectors

Arendal is producing just 50 loudspeakers total — 25 pairs worldwide — making this one of its most exclusive offerings ever.

Each speaker includes a chrome-plated stainless steel plaque with its unique serial number and the signature of Arendal’s CEO, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

The company describes the limited run as a celebration of “engineering precision, Norwegian design heritage, and collector-worthy exclusivity.”

A Statement in Sound and Design

Standing an impressive 5 feet 11 inches tall, the 1528 Tower 8 remains Arendal’s largest and most powerful loudspeaker — a commanding presence that bridges fine craftsmanship and audiophile performance.
