Audiolab Unveils 6000A MKII Integrated Amplifier with HDMI ARC & Upgraded DAC
Audiolab has introduced the 6000A MKII, an enhanced version of its widely acclaimed 6000A integrated amplifier. Retaining its affordable sub-€1000 price point, the MKII model refines power delivery, upgrades its DAC chipset, and adds HDMI ARC support for seamless TV audio integration.

Refined Power & Performance
The 6000A MKII continues to offer 50W per channel into 8 Ohms and 75W into 4 Ohms, with improved power stability and dynamic range. The upgraded toroidal transformer (200VA) is backed by four 15,000µF storage capacitors, ensuring consistent power delivery and high-fidelity music reproduction. Like its predecessor, it supports three operational modes: integrated amplifier, power amplifier, and pre-amplifier.
Enhanced Digital & Wireless Connectivity
A key highlight of the MKII upgrade is the transition to an ESS Sabre ES9038Q2M DAC, replacing the previous ES9018K2M chipset. This brings higher-resolution digital audio processing, now complemented by HDMI ARC for TV integration and aptX HD Bluetooth for wireless streaming. The amplifier retains its coaxial and TOSLINK digital inputs, offering versatile wired connectivity.
Still No Confirmation on Phono Stage & Streaming Variants
While the original 6000A featured an MM phono stage, it's unclear whether the MKII model carries it over. Additionally, there’s no word yet on whether a DTS:PlayFi streaming variant will be available, suggesting Audiolab may be steering users toward its Bluetooth input or external solutions like the 6000N Play streamer.
Availability & Pricing
The Audiolab 6000A MKII will launch in mid-March 2025 for €899, available in silver or black finishes. More details are expected soon from Audiolab Germany
