A New Era of High-Performance Audio Meets Formula 1

Bowers & Wilkins, the renowned British audio brand, has announced an exciting expansion of its partnership with McLaren, now extending beyond McLaren Automotive to include the McLaren Formula 1 Team. This move solidifies B&W as the Official Audio Partner for McLaren Racing, blending precision engineering and high-fidelity sound with the adrenaline-fueled world of Formula 1.

Having collaborated since 2015, Bowers & Wilkins has long provided premium in-car audio systems for McLaren’s supercars, seamlessly integrating cutting-edge speaker technology into the brand’s luxurious interiors. Now, the partnership shifts gears to include F1-inspired consumer audio products, promising a thrilling fusion of motorsport aesthetics and superior sound performance.

New McLaren-Edition Audio Products on the Horizon

Building on the success of previous McLaren-branded editions, such as the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 McLaren Edition headphones and the Zeppelin McLaren Edition wireless speaker, fans can expect a new lineup of audio gear, likely featuring McLaren’s signature grey and papaya orange color scheme. While details remain under wraps, the expanded partnership hints at more co-branded high-performance audio devices, designed to captivate both audiophiles and Formula 1 enthusiasts.

Beyond consumer tech, B&W’s advanced audio solutions will now also support McLaren Racing’s pre-race preparations and travel requirements, ensuring optimal focus and relaxation for the team.

Cutting-Edge Audio Innovation for McLaren Supercars

The McLaren W1 serves as a prime example of the technical synergy between these two British giants. Bowers & Wilkins engineers worked directly with McLaren Automotive to develop a bespoke sound system that integrates seamlessly with the vehicle’s carbon fiber construction and innovative InnoKnit fabric. This collaboration is powered by state-of-the-art research conducted at Bowers & Wilkins’ Southwater facility, located just 30 miles from the McLaren Technology Centre.
