Eversolo Enters Full-Size Hi-Fi Arena with New DMP-A10 Streamer/DAC/Preamp

The Chinese brand takes a bold step into high-end audio with its most ambitious product yet.

Eversolo has officially expanded its hi-fi lineup with the debut of the DMP-A10, a premium full-width streaming DAC and preamplifier that significantly raises the bar for the young brand. Following the success of the compact DMP-A8, the new model brings not just a larger form factor, but also upgraded internals and refined design — signaling a serious push into the audiophile mainstream.

Priced at £3590, the DMP-A10 is nearly double the cost of its predecessor, but Eversolo appears confident that its latest offering can go toe-to-toe with far more established high-end rivals. Alongside the release, the company has also launched the AMP-F10, a dedicated power amplifier designed to visually and sonically complement the DMP-A10.

A New Benchmark in All-in-One Audio Hubs

The DMP-A10 serves as a multi-functional audio centerpiece — acting as a streamer, DAC, digital transport, music server, and analogue preamp in a single enclosure. This level of versatility is quickly becoming a hallmark of Eversolo’s design philosophy.

Visually, the DMP-A10 represents a significant departure from its compact sibling. Its full-width CNC-machined alloy chassis features softened chamfered edges, oversized side fins, and a vibrant 6.5-inch color touchscreen on the front. A striking volume control, ringed by a high-resolution display, adds both visual flair and tactile appeal — clicking satisfyingly through relay-driven R-2R volume steps in 0.5dB increments.

Hardware Upgrades for Audiophile Ambitions

Internally, Eversolo has traded the dual AKM DAC setup of the A8 for ESS Technology’s flagship ES9039SPRO chip, supported by independent crystal clocks and a refined dual-power supply using audiophile-grade components like Nichicon capacitors. The digital isolation has also been improved, with a new emphasis on signal purity and system stability.

New connectivity options include dual subwoofer outputs, a second pair of RCA inputs, and a fiber Ethernet (SFP) port — but the I2S/HDMI output found on the DMP-A8 has been dropped.

Custom OS with Android Roots

Like its predecessor, the DMP-A10 runs on a custom version of Android that disguises its origins with Eversolo’s sleek EOS audio interface. Despite lacking Google’s full app ecosystem, the device supports third-party music app installation, enabling platforms such as Apple Music, Bandcamp, and others — a notable strength in a landscape often limited to Tidal and Qobuz.

For those who prefer local playback, the unit can be fitted with up to two NVMe SSD drives, transforming it into a high-capacity media server. It also supports Roon, AirPlay, USB, and HDMI ARC, while EQ and DSP settings can be customized per input/output.

In the Listening Room

Initial hands-on testing in a reference system — including a Primare PRE35/A35.2 amp stack and DALI Rubicon 2 speakers — revealed a clean, detailed sound signature with ample depth and spatial precision. Tracks from Pat Benatar’s Greatest Hits and French 79’s Between The Buttons showcased the DMP-A10’s dynamic range and punch, while more intricate acoustic recordings such as Beauté Barbare and Mercan Dede’s 800 allowed its subtlety and tonal balance to shine.

According to early listening impressions, the DMP-A10 manages to stay out of the music’s way, delivering a presentation that emphasizes clarity, neutrality, and realism. The R-2R volume stage, when used in preamp mode, proved just as transparent — highlighting the unit’s potential as a full-fledged control hub in a two-channel system.

A Strategic Leap Forward

For Eversolo, the DMP-A10 marks a decisive move beyond value-focused gear into the upper tiers of digital audio performance. Its combination of flexibility, polish, and sound quality suggests a brand no longer content to simply compete on price.

While the extensive features and customization may feel overwhelming to newcomers, the DMP-A10 is shaping up to be a serious contender in the premium streaming

DAC category — potentially undercutting rivals that cost considerably more.
