A more compact (and more accessible) sibling to the award-winning T66, designed for smaller spaces without compromising on high-end performance.

Audiophile Sound, Reimagined for Real Rooms
GoldenEar, known for its meticulous engineering and high-performance speaker designs, is expanding its flagship T Series with a new, space-friendly offering: the T44 floorstanding loudspeakers. Inspired by the critically acclaimed T66 ($6,900/pair), the new T44 model delivers the same sonic DNA in a more compact and affordable package — perfect for audiophiles with tighter spaces or more intimate listening rooms.
Smaller Stature, Same Ambition
At first glance, the T44 retains the refined design language of the T66. In fact, it shares the exact same footprint. But a closer look reveals a cabinet that's about eight inches shorter, making it easier to fit into constrained spaces — without sacrificing the wide soundstage GoldenEar is known for.
Internally, the T44 still boasts a three-way design, but features a slightly pared-down five-driver array (versus six in the T66). One midrange driver has been removed, but the speakers still pack the same folded ribbon tweeter and 4.5-inch cast-basket mid/bass driver — both cornerstones of the brand’s pristine, fast, and natural sound signature.

Active Bass, Powered Performance
One of the standout features of the T Series — and proudly retained in the T44 — is its hybrid amplification architecture. The tweeter and midrange drivers are passive, requiring external amplification, while the woofer section is fully powered, driven by an internal DSP-controlled amplifier. This design enables the T44 to reach deep, thunderous lows and deliver subwoofer-like bass without needing an external unit.
“You get the room-filling low end of a tower speaker, with the footprint of a bookshelf setup — all in one.”
Also included are dual passive radiators on each speaker, which enhance low-frequency response and overall dynamics, particularly in small or acoustically challenging spaces.

Elegant Design, Premium Finishes
The T44 comes dressed in two striking finishes:
Piano Black – a classic high-gloss look for minimalist setups
Santa Barbara Red – a bold, statement finish with an extra $400 premium
Both finishes feature the T Series’ signature rounded cabinet edges and acoustically transparent front grilles, maintaining a sleek visual identity that matches its refined sonic profile.
Price & Availability
Starting at $4,900 per pair, the GoldenEar T44 offers a compelling value for anyone seeking high-end, full-range performance without the physical bulk or higher cost of flagship models. It’s expected to begin shipping mid-July 2025, and will be available exclusively through authorized GoldenEar retailers.
Why It Matters
With the T44, GoldenEar isn’t just downsizing — it’s democratizing reference-quality sound. By bringing signature technologies and audiophile-grade components into a smaller, more affordable format, the T44 is perfect for modern living rooms, studios, or dedicated two-channel setups where space is at a premium — but expectations remain sky-high.
