A Decade of Audiophile Excellence

For more than ten years, the KEF LS50 series has been a symbol of precision sound and timeless design. The original LS50 (2012) redefined what compact hi-fi could achieve, followed by the LS50 Wireless (2018), which introduced streaming capability to the lineage.

In 2020, KEF released second-generation versions—the LS50 Meta (passive) and LS50 Wireless II (active)—each equipped with KEF’s breakthrough Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), drastically reducing distortion and refining the acoustic clarity that made the LS50 series legendary.

Now in Sand Shell and Moss Green

This year, KEF has introduced two new bespoke finishes that elevate the LS50 series from minimalist modernism to gallery-worthy design.

  • Sand Shell: a refined off-white with a warm beige undertone.

  • Moss Green: a rich, deep forest tone that evokes natural calm.

Both feature KEF’s signature gold Uni-Q driver, giving the speakers an artful, sculptural presence in any interior.

Active or Passive — Your Choice of Perfection

The LS50 Meta and LS50 Wireless II share the same 5.25-inch Uni-Q driver array with a 1-inch tweeter nested concentrically, ensuring point-source precision across the frequency spectrum.

  • LS50 Meta — A passive design for purists who prefer to pair their own amplifier and DAC components.

  • LS50 Wireless II — A self-powered system with built-in streaming, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and extensive input options, from turntables to TVs, offering plug-and-play convenience without sonic compromise.

For those seeking something smaller, KEF also offers the LSX II ($1,500) and LSX II LT ($1,000)—compact siblings with similar design DNA.

Premium Sound Comes at a Premium Price

As with many top-tier audio brands, KEF has made modest price adjustments in line with global tariffs:

  • LS50 Meta: now priced at $1,600 per pair (up from $1,500)

  • LS50 Wireless II: now $3,000 per pair (up from $2,500)

Despite the increase, both models remain benchmarks in their categories—balancing design, engineering, and acoustic brilliance that few can rival.

Both models, in the new Sand Shell and Moss Green finishes, are available now from KEF and authorized retailers worldwide.
