Made in England, limited to just 100 units worldwide, and priced like a piece of furniture art – the R810 MiE is Ruark’s most exclusive creation yet.

In an era dominated by black boxes, wireless earbuds and invisible streaming, Ruark Audio has chosen a radically different way to celebrate its 40th birthday: by doubling down on craft, furniture-grade design and old-school luxury.
The result is the Ruark Audio R810 MiE — a special, anniversary edition of its flagship all-in-one radiogram, hand-built in England and limited to just 50 units in each of two finishes.
This isn’t just a speaker system. It’s a statement piece.
Made in England, Literally
“MiE” stands for Made in England, and in this case it’s not marketing fluff.
The cabinets are crafted by Storm Furniture, a specialist British furniture maker, before being shipped to Ruark’s headquarters in Southend, where each unit is:
Assembled
Tested
Signed off
And individually numbered
Every R810 MiE even gets its own engraved wooden plaque on the rear panel, confirming its authenticity and edition status.
This is as close as modern hi-fi gets to bespoke furniture craftsmanship.
Two Finishes, No Two Alike
The R810 MiE is available in:
Penta-Chord Walnut
Leaf-Line Oak
Both use real marquetry, meaning the wood patterns are assembled piece by piece rather than applied as veneer. No two units look exactly the same.
Once the panels are complete, they’re treated to:
Multiple layers of lacquer
Hand sanding between coats
A final deep-gloss finish
The result is less “audio product” and more museum-grade sideboard with speakers inside.

A Radiogram for the Streaming Generation
Behind the luxury shell sits the same tech found in the standard R810 — which is already one of the most capable all-in-one systems on the market.
You get:
Built-in streaming (Spotify, Tidal, etc.)
Wireless connectivity
Inputs for:
Turntables
TVs
CD players
External sources
So while it looks like something from a 1960s design studio, it behaves like a fully modern smart hi-fi hub.
This is a radiogram reimagined for 2026.
Price of Admission: Serious Money
Let’s not pretend otherwise:
£6,495 / ~$8,900 / ~€7,500 / ~AU$12,800
That puts the R810 MiE firmly in luxury object territory, competing less with Sonos or Naim, and more with Bang & Olufsen, Devialet and boutique design brands.
But that’s exactly the point.
This isn’t aimed at audiophiles chasing measurements. It’s aimed at people who want:
World-class sound
Without racks of gear
In a piece that looks like high-end furniture, not electronics
The Bigger Picture
The Ruark R810 MiE exists in a strange but fascinating space:
It’s not retro, but deeply nostalgic
Not minimalist, but tastefully restrained
Not mass-market, but intentionally scarce
With only 100 units worldwide, this is less a product and more a collectible design artifact.
Ruark isn’t just celebrating 40 years of audio — it’s reminding the industry that hi-fi can still be beautiful, tactile and permanent, not just another app on a phone.
For most people, the R810 MiE is unrealistic. For a very small number, it might be the last audio system they ever buy — and the one that finally makes their living room feel complete.
