Sonus faber Unveils Amati Supreme: Flagship Tech Meets Italian Artistry in $78,000 Loudspeakers

Borrowing driver innovations from the brand’s $750,000 Suprema, these new floorstanders promise reference-level sound, bespoke finishes, and craftsmanship that borders on sculpture.

Just two weeks after its Lamborghini collaboration sold out in record time, Sonus faber is back with another statement piece: the Amati Supreme. Positioned as the latest jewel in its Homage Collection, the Supreme blends trickle-down engineering from the $750,000 Suprema with signature Italian design flair — offering audiophiles a more “attainable” entry point at $78,000 per pair.

Flagship DNA in a Compact Silhouette

At the heart of the Amati Supreme is Sonus faber’s “Voice of Sonus faber” (VOS) driver array, the same advanced system that powers its seven-figure flagship. This includes:

  • A silk-dome tweeter and super tweeter for sparkling highs.

  • The Camelia midrange driver, engineered for warmth and detail.

  • Dual 220mm woofers with a twin-motor system, delivering scale and authority.

With a 4.5-way design and 600-watt power handling, the Supreme aims for the dynamic realism of a live performance — but will demand equally premium amplification to unlock its full potential.

Fine-Tuned for the Listening Room

Around back, Sonus faber has introduced a new tuning mechanism that allows listeners to tweak both the mid-highs and mid-bass output. This gives owners flexibility to tailor performance depending on their room acoustics — whether a dedicated listening space, a large open living area, or something in between.

And in a flourish of Italian drama, each speaker features a transparent Y-shaped window on the top panel, revealing the mid-high crossover network like a watchmaker’s movement on display.

Italian Craft, Bold New Finishes

The Amati Supreme is as much an object of design as it is of sound. For the first time, Sonus faber is wrapping the entire cabinet in matte metal finishes:

  • Sabbia Oro – a warm, sand-gold tone.

  • Terra Rossa – a rich, earthy red.

Both finishes bring a modern edge to the traditionally wood-focused Sonus faber aesthetic, while retaining the sculptural curves and craftsmanship that define the brand’s legacy.

Price & Availability

The Sonus faber Amati Supreme floorstanding loudspeakers will be available starting September 2025, priced at $78,000 per pair.

For most, that’s still in fantasy territory. But for the rare few seeking flagship performance in a more “livable” package, the Amati Supreme may be the ultimate audiophile indulgence.
