Victrola’s Sonos-Ready Turntables Just Got a Major Hi-Fi Upgrade

The world’s only Sonos-compatible turntables just became even more versatile, thanks to a significant software update that expands their wireless capabilities.

The Easiest Way to Stream Vinyl—Now Even Better

For those who love vinyl and seamless streaming, Victrola’s Stream series has been the go-to choice. As the only turntables officially designed to work with Sonos, they allow you to play records wirelessly throughout your home—no line-in required.

Until now, however, these turntables were limited to Sonos speakers. That changes with Victrola’s latest update, which enhances wireless functionality and introduces key features that broaden compatibility across audio ecosystems.

Expanded Wireless Streaming: More Options, More Freedom

With this update, Victrola’s Stream Onyx ($600), Stream Carbon ($800), Stream Pearl ($800), and flagship Stream Sapphire ($1,300) now support:

  • Bluetooth Connectivity – Users can now stream vinyl to any Bluetooth speaker or headphones, adding a new layer of flexibility.

  • Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) Support – High-resolution streaming is now possible on a wide range of Wi-Fi-enabled speakers, AV receivers, and music streamers from brands like KEF, JBL, Sony, Samsung, Denon, Marantz, and WiiM.

  • Roon Ready Relay Integration – Audiophiles can now stream vinyl at up to 24-bit/48kHz lossless FLAC to any Roon-ready speaker or endpoint, bringing studio-quality playback into the mix.

Notably, the Stream Sapphire had already supported UPnP and Roon streaming, but with this update, it now gains Bluetooth functionality, aligning with the rest of the Stream lineup.

A Step Toward the Future of Wireless Vinyl

Scott Hagen, CEO of Victrola, emphasized the company’s vision:

“This update is a major step forward in our mission to blend the warmth of vinyl with the convenience of modern wireless audio. The Victrola Stream turntables have been the best option for Sonos users, and now we’re extending that same effortless streaming experience to even more audio ecosystems.”

For existing owners, the update has already begun rolling out automatically. New Bluetooth and Wi-Fi streaming options will appear within the Victrola app, alongside the traditional Sonos speaker selection.
